Penn State Gerontology Center
Encompassing many traditional disciplines in the biological, behavioral, and social sciences, as well as numerous professional specialties, gerontology at Penn State is the study of the processes of aging in all their diversity and interaction.
Building on its 40 year history of accomplishments, the Gerontology Center is dedicated to:
- Advancing the study of aging in the biological, behavioral, and social sciences
- Stimulating communication among scholars of different disciplines and among teachers, researchers, practitioners, government officials, and citizens
- Promoting undergraduate and graduate training in aging, health and adult development
- Fostering applied research that improves the quality of life and promotes the welfare of adults of all ages.
